Minutes - 2/7/12

5:06 - Meeting starts.

5:06 - Kendall Scudder talks about Bearkat All Paws In. It's the 1st Saturday in March where groups dedicate a day doing community service around the city. Discussion about Raven coming out and filming/photographing/etc.

5:13 - Raven Films has an official office on campus now. Once the paperwork clears, we'll be in 328 in the Dan Rather Building.

5:16 - Ashley talks a bit about the proposal and asks if we have anything else to say about what film means to us. Awkward silence occurs.

5:18 - We're looking for visual artists. If you are one, talk to Robin.

5:19 - If you're not part of the Facebook group, please make sure you are. There's a lot of group communication that takes place through Facebook, so you need to check it regularly.

5:20 - Sam is doing readings for the opera Thursday from 5-6 in PAC. Casting 3 parts exclusively to Raven Films people. Do not have to sing. Filming schedule will be on select MWF days from 3-6.

5:22 - Sam is also looking for sound/lighting/etc crew for opera project.

5:23 - Hoodie money due today. Dues are due next week.

5:28 - We're still looking for prospective directors for projects. Talk to Sam ASAP if you're interested. We have 4 short projects we're doing, and primary filming will be done in meetings. Development work will be done outside meetings however. There are two music pieces and two film challenges, where a team writes a short script around an idea given by the officers.

5:31 - We also need writers for the writing teams. If you're a writer, you can't direct one of the film challenges.

5:40 - Editingpalooza is this weekend.

5:47 - Writing teams picked.

5:48 - As part of the festival, we're doing script readings. If you have a short script or want to write one, we have available spots. Try to have them in by March 26-30.
